I rarely wear whole outfits, but this set by Twisted and Spoiled was too awesome to not wear almost every single piece. Like all their stuff, it may seem a bit pricey, but for the quality, and all the accessories, it really is a total bargain.

I fell in love with the new lionheart skins from Plastik, but unfortunately, they didn't look good on my avatar shape. So, in a fit of rage, I redid myself, and voila! I think I'm adorable!

Summertime Sexiness

First of all, I'd like to introduce my lovely new wife, who has also acquiesced to becoming my blog partner as well as my SL partner. She's a very talented photographer, so whenever possible, I'm going to have her edit the pictures :) So...meet Delilah. She's pretty much amazing.
Her style ranges from the very feminine, to the super nerdy, to hardcore punk rock, and she makes all of her styles look good.
For our first blog together, we thought we'd highlight something easy...swimsuits. After all, it is almost summer time (Even if it did pour rain all day here in sunny California)! But the lovely thing about SL is it can be whatever weather I want it to be. So there.

We both have a liking for all things in the spectrum from turquoise to teal, so we were needless to say amused when we pulled out our favorite bikinis and they were relatively close in color.

Musically Inclined

I'm a total music nerd in real life. Everything from listening to swedish black metal on my ipod, transposing Beethoven from cello to clarinet so I can have a personal woodwind jam session, going to Breaking Benjamin concerts with my friends, or dragging my dad along to see ZZ Top...music is a huge part of my life. I'm rarely without something that produces music, so I was totally thrilled about this outfit, which just screams "music lover" to me.

I've also done a lot of reworking on my avatar. She's much smaller, much more realistic (at least I think so), and finally looks my age. Instead of having a mature-faced 35 year old-looking avie, I can finally be fresh-faced and 21 ^.^

Whew! I haven't blogged in months! Things have been crazy hectic (moving, breakups in SL and RL, new significant other in RL)...just crazy! But anyway, I am back (although without as good of a graphics card...lame!).

Today I decided to bring my two avies together, since they've both been under-going some major transformations these past few months. Since I'm single again in SL, I'm sorta pretending to hate Valentine's day. So, to protest...the girls are getting together. Who needs boys anyway?

The past few months, Rae has morphed from a demon to a faun (I'm hooked on horns and whatnot for her, I guess!), and Sayre has shrunk down, and come to look a little more like me (minus the elf ears and tons of tattoos ^.^).

I thought it would be fun to dress them simply, but in ways that real best friends may dress. It's not uncommon for my close friends and I to dress similar, often in nearly the same outfits with different colors.

Androgyny

I've always found there to be something incredibly and indefinably sexy about androgyny. From my wrong-generation obsession with David Bowie (my mother also has a crush on him...awkward!) and his yummeh blend of masculinity and feminitity to women like Shane on the L Word...It's just HAWT.
I've experimented with it in my rl, but I tend to be proportioned in a way that that sexy edgy boy/girl look defeats me. I can have my hair short, minimal makeup and boyish cut clothing, and I still look like a tavern wench.
So, because SL is awesome like that, I wanted to show you my androgyny obsession. I started with a staple from my inventory, these phenomenal jeans from T.A.R.T. I think this fatpack was one of my first purchases in world, and I still love them. High and tight, with straight seams and multiple colors, these jeans are definitely casual, but well done.

I have always had a passionate love affair with the Steampunk look. Cogs, gears, and gorgeous bits of corrugated metal...yummeh.
So, when I saw Coffeesmoke's highlight of the amazing new moving shoes at Grim Bros, I immediately tp'd over and made them mine.
And this...well, this is what came out of that experience.

Look at these wings!! I mean, look at them! I happened to find them the other day when exploring the Steampunk festival sim (alas, I tp'd when nothing was going on, but oh well...still fun to check out!). Each cog of the wings move independently, creating a rather fun effect.

So...there's just some days I feel a wee bit more sex-kittenish than others. Now, because it's not socially acceptable for me to run around in uber skimpy lingerie or even better (naked!), I have to find some clothes that I can wear around the grid that both appeal to my skankalicious mood and still be presentable for the masses.
My inspiration for today is none other than legendary porn star Jenna Jameson. Living in a houseful of guys in RL...I end up seeing a lot of porn. And I'll admit...when she wasn't terrifyingly skinny, Jenna was HOT. I love her hair (who looks at porn for hair and makeup? This weird one right here!). So, here's my SL take of the infamous Miss Jameson.

Start off with this fabulous new shirt that I found in Alco the other day. It says PORN on the front, with some lovely decorative stars. Porn...star....get it? Yeah. It's rhinestone-y goodness at its best, and the textures couldn't be more luxurious.

Also...check out these shoes!! OMG!! I don't wear heels much in-world or in RL, other than boots, so for me to find such an amazingly odd pair of heels...they had to be mine. They are tennis shoes, except...stilettos!

How cute is that? I mean seriously! It's so grungy, but kinda playful and flirty at the same time. The handprints on the shirt are just a tad naughty, like one got a playful grope after one's hubby was out working on the car.
And the pants! The texturing is absolute ridiculously amazing. The frayed edges have amazing detail, and look just like real shredded pants. These are definitely going to be worn a LOT by yours truly.

Corset Fetish

My absolute favorite article of clothing in RL is the corset. Not the pretty little Frederick's of Hollywood ones, but the real ones, with heavy boning that cinch you in six inches or more. I wear one almost every single day, under my regular clothes, and I've come to adore the feeling and the look.
So, is it any wonder that I own a bazillion corsets in SL as well? I think not. Here are a few of my current favs.

First up, a flirty little corset that can be worn alone or with the accompanying skirt. I love the little black bra poking out of the top, but that is also an optional piece.

Panzerkop?!

Every now and then while casually wandering the grid, I get an almost obsessive need to find a very specific item. Most of the time I search and search for weeks with near insane intensity, only to be defeated, and the outfit/hair/whatever the hell I was looking for. On occasion, however, I get lucky and find it.
It was such the case with this outfit. I had been searching high and low for weeks for some sort of uberneat uniform. I didn't want any standard military uniform (especially US styled), and I didn't overly want anything too futuristic either. The vision that I had in my head was something similar to WWII German officers uniforms, except without the silly triangular pants. However, due to sensitivity and general political correctness (hey, I do think about this stuff sometimes!!), it would not be appropriate for me, a very proud German-American, to go around sporting SS gear, yeah?
Finally, I found the outfit I wanted. It had the elements of the WWII uniforms that I love, plus an intriguing bit of modern/perhaps even cyber goth bits. When I finally made the outfit mine, I decided that I felt like something like a dystopian cop. Almost Mad Max-ish, but not really. It's hard to explain, but I was thrilled with the results.

After getting the outfit, I spent a few weeks assembling some uber nifty new accessories. After seeing one of my fellow blogger's highlight of Freakshow. Curious, I tp'd over...and ended up leaving with half the store now in my inventory. Enjoy.

I do find it amusing that Alice in Wonderland has become something of a cult phenomenon. I grew up on the movie, loved the book, the whole nine yards. I even had the bedsheets in the mid-90s as a kid.
I've noticed that on SL especially, Alice and her friends are extremely popular. Nary a week goes by where there isn't an Alice in Wonderland event at some club; the costumes are numerous and fabulous.
So, I dug into my inventory and pulled out my Alice themed stuff.

As much as I like to pretend I hate it, I am a girl, which means there is something in me that loves getting dressed up and going out. While it is true that you will never find me in flounces or bows, I have been known to wiggle into something slinky, with high heels and elaborate makeup.
Usually when I go to these fancier parties, I bring along some gorgeous guy with me. Inevitably, I end up getting drunk on too much champagne or foo foo drinks, and stumble out, groping blindly at my date, my hair a mess, dress straps broken, nylons torn, my hair a royal mess. Often, my guy isn't much better. You have those nights too right? You don't? Well, START LIVING, DAMNIT!

Every now and then I feel the need to run around in my underwear. Being the only girl in a house of 6 (5 college boys...feel bad for me!), I am usually confined to my bedroom on such a day. However, the fun thing about SL is...I can pretty much wander anywhere I want as long as the bare necessities are covered.

I've noticed that my last couple posts haven't been very traditional "me" at all. They've been swimsuits and, of all the horrors!, dresses. But not today. This outfit is something that one would see me wandering around the grid in. I love it for the absolutely breathtaking texturing job, the fun feel, and...hell, I love everything about it. It's definitely one of my favorite outfits overall in Second Life.

I like that it has a certain feminine appeal, even while being more in the line of masculine clothes. I can't help but feel sexy when wearing it, so I have to carry a gun to chase off all the boys and girls that try to grab hold of my badass sexiness.

Summertime!

I don't know about the rest of the world; but summers in northern California are just plain hot. Disgustingly hot. It's been over 100 degrees the past few days, after what had started as a very mild and wonderful summer. In parking lots and other asphalty areas, it reaches 122 degrees. Today has been the coolest day yet at 100 even. Ugh.
So, to "celebrate" (or something), my avatar felt the need to also show off summer wear. I kinda stripped her of her normal post-apoc look and decided to truly make her a North CA type of girl. She actually kinda looks like me with the short blond hair...except with more tats and piercings and whatnot.

I don't do the Cali beach bunny look often, but hell, I've been raised here, so there is a pink bikini in my closet, I admit it!

I wish beaches in northern Cali looked like this. But alas, this is more Hawaii. We have rock and dark sand beaches that are actually kinda chilly, but I like to pretend.

Now, often during the summer here, I like to take a trip to San Francisco for the day. It's about a billion degrees cooler, and its probably one of the neatest cities ever. For a day to the city, this outfit seemed appropriate.

It's often chilly in SF, so a cute middy sweatshirt and high socks are a must if you are going to sport short shorts and a tank top.

All in a Day's Adventures

If you are anything like me, you change your outfit in-world at least a few times a day. I mean, seriously...there are multiple things to go and do, and you always want to look appropriate (or inappropriate, if that's your thing) for the task at hand. My partner doesn't understand this in the slightest. He will wear the same thing all day, no matter what we are doing, if I let him.
So, to show off my multiple personalities in clothing, check this out.

First, I wanted to go check out the Insilico sim. If you don't know, its a MASSIVE cybergoth/cyberpunk city, with amazing textures and all kinds of weird stuff to snoop at. Unfortunately, because of its size, it can be extremely laggy, and hard to get a decent picture because everything is so big!
But, I did manage to snap one good shot, standing under a large neon light.

Freaking love this bodysuit. I'm not much of an RPer, and I'm certainly no one's slave, but sometimes a girl just wants to be all strapped up. The texturing and coloring on this bodysuit couldn't be better. It's sexy as hell, while maintaining something of a badass feel.

Dresses? Really?

I am a self-professed dress hater. As a rule, I despise them. Skirts, eh, but dresses....I would rather go naked, SL or RL, it doesn't matter. However, their are certain circumstances that, if one continues to wish to be counted among the female population, one must be in a dress of some sort.
Because of this, I'd like to highlight two of my absolute favorite dresses in SL. Both are veeeeeeery different. One I can wear whenever I have to show up for some girly pasttime with my adorably and disgustingly feminine friends, and the other was my SL wedding dress. Enjoy.

Dress: (CS) Aphrodixia in Ruby
Love everything about this dress. I did have a bit of an issue fixing the placement of the prim skirt, but that might just be my issue due to my shape and my lack of experience with skirt parts. The dress is sexy, with what appers to be a cutout showing a bra underneath, but in reality, its part of the dress. It maintains some level of class while still being fun and not overly girly.

Shoes: Unique Needs Dolly Goth Chunky Spy Pumps in black (my favorite pair of heels, EVER!)

June is the month of weddings, so they say.
Now, my "sister" in SL is getting married on Saturday, (Sorry, Kat! I have to work in RL that day. *cries*) and thinking about it made me think of my own wedding in SL. As you may be able to guess, I am not overly traditional. Neither in my partner. Because of this, we decided on a masquerade ball theme wedding. I found the most gorgeous non-traditional dress ever....I have no idea when I will ever wear it again, but it has earned its place in my inventory.

It's big. It's poofy. It causes lag with the giant flowing train. But it's also uber gorgeous. The texturing is absolutely amazing, and it amuses me to spin in circles and watch it move.

Whew! Sorry there, kiddos. It's been a busy few weeks. School got out, I went on vacation to Las Vegas for my 21st birthday....sheeeze. Anyway, I am back now, for good (barring any unseen vacations that my lovely friends may have forgotten to warn me about!).
I changed things up, quite a bit, in SL after I got back. While the neko look was a ton of fun, it was seriously cutting into my attachment point availability, and it seemed that every freaking person in SL is a neko. While I doubt I am done with my kitteh parts for good, I decided to try something different. Now my absolute favorite fashion blogger, EVER, is Makenzie Irling. Even though I don't wear half the things she does, since her style is, while extremely eclectic and awesome, a bit more girly than mine ever will be. However, she looks amazing as an elf, so in homage of her, I decided to give the pointed ears a try myself...and fell in love.
To celebrate, I decided to highlight one of my new favorite stores, Fuk'N'Hawt. I spent a mini fortune there this week, grabbing nearly everything in sight.

What Do Post Apoc Nekos do for Date Night?

Sometimes my partner and I go on romantic dates; we feel they bring us closer as a couple. However, whereas most couples head over to a pretty beach sim or a botanical garden, Amon and I like to roam about post-apocalyptic sims. Instead of mushing over each other, we can usually be found reveling in our inner Mad Max, riding our motorbikes at breakneck speeds through torn up streets, exploring nearly decimated hospitals....ah, good times.
And of course, we dress for the occassion. Look, I even wore a skirt...well, kinda!
This has long been one of my favorite outfits in-world. The texturing on the kilt itself is unbelievable, and the little charms that adorn both bodice and waist are extremely well done. Called the *Pleasure* outfit, it can be found in a tiny little shop at the Emo City Mall. Amon's kilt can also be found there, but alas, he does not remember what its called. As far as I could tell, the store itself did not have a name, but the various battle kilts for both men and women are some of the best I've seen in SL

As I was bullying him into telling me what all exactly he was wearing, I realized something...we are wearing many items from the same places. Score! Saves me from having to find the lms to a bunch of places :)

Burlesque and Leather

True Story: Girl goes hair shopping. Girl finds multiple hair styles that look amazing. Girl buys hair. Girl then decides she absolutely must dig through her inventory and put together outfits around said new hair.
This is the result.

One of my new buddies in SL has an amazing club called Corsets & Cigars. It's a burlesque themed club, and although it has a very diverse clientele, it feels like stepping into a more romantic era. I absolutely adore burlesque style clothes. My odd passion for such led me to Nymphetamine, a store which has got to be one of the most beautiful gothic clothing stores I have ever seen in-world. The texturing on the fabric is beyond amazing, the dark colors romantic, and the styles tend to be Victorian styled gothic, a style that appeals to me much more than one's standard all black gothic clothing.
This particular outfit is the Pandora's Penchant outift in Purple. Everything about it, from the little buttons on the bodice to the ruffls on the hat and bustle are superbly crafted. The set itself comes with a much longer skirt, that makes the whole ensemble more Victorian classic, but if you buy the "Pt 2" as well, you get the short little skirt that makes it perfect for slinking around a Burlesque club.

This new, oh-so-gorgeous hair is from Armidi. This particular one is the St Moritz in True Black. I love the feminine waves, but it comes off as classically cute, not overly pretenious. I have a secret loathing for curly hair, so this is probably the closest I will ever come to actual curls.

I've noticed that lately I've been wearing a lot of blond hair. What of it, you ask? After all, I am a natural blond in RL. However, it is rather odd for me, because I have always preferred black and red hair. When I saw the Milano hairstyle at Armidi, however, I knew I had to have it in blond. And not just in any blond, but platinum blond.
I absolutely love the texturing on the hair, the way it flows and moves just enough with me. I have a hell of a time finding hair that looks right on my face, so to find two different styles at the same place was sort of like finding two four-leaf clovers in a patch.
Anyway, I certainly hope you guys did the Keys to the VIP hunt. It was definitely the most worthwhile hunt I have done to date in SL. I normally throw away about 98% of the items I receive in most hunts, but I think I kept about half from this one.
A few of my favorite items from the hunt:
This SUPER cute diary from Catnip. It hangs out in a case on your thigh, but when you click it, it transfers to your hand and has a very nice writing animation. In this case, I took a break from taking pictures out in front of my house (hi, house!) to scribble a bit in my diary. It's theraputic, I'm telling ya.
Also, the piercings were also hunt items from Acid & Mala. Called the Shut Up! piercings, they are insane in a totally fun way.
Finally, these bracers from Unzipped (although I am quite sure they are for men), are uber fun. The texturing is extremely well done on them, and the pieces fit together really well.
As for the outfit itself, anyone who knows me knows that I practically own everything that has come out of League. This is definitely one of my favorite outfits from the store. Called the Bella Desastre outfit, its a brown leather minidress, with multiple options for the skirt. I am wearing the tattered skirt, since it appeals most to my need to not have smooth edges on skirts :)
Finally, these boots are also from Catnip. Since I am a neko most of the time, I find it fun to wander around in these Feral Stomps in white. They are so cat-like but still so funky and awesome, and they go with everything. Absolutely LOVE these shoes.

Believe The Hype

Ok, I know, I know. Every blog seems to be riddled with the new stuff out of Luck E Motion. We've all seen it. So, why am I blogging it? Because it is just that damn amazing. For starters, the texturing on this little onsie is just fabulous. The colors it is offered in are extremely varied, and it is incredibly sexy without being completely naked.

Now, anyone that knows me knows that I am not all that girly. Even though I may have more clothes than most sane people in SL, most of them seem to be variations of pants, shirts and jackets. I don't own that many skirts or dresses, and the ones I do have tend to be ripped to hell, or were for a special event.
Because of this, I don't have very many uber-feminine accessories. When trying to decide what to pair this cute little outfit with, these little half stockings caught my eye. Also at the new Luck E-motion store, these just about made me *squeee* with delight.
Also in my inventory, hailing from waaaay long ago, are these shoes. A present from a then romantic interest, I haven't the slightest idea where they are from, but look how cute! I will try and find out where they are from, but in the mean time...

I had a few requests for a closer up facial picture. My current everyday is skin is the Laqroki Alba 03 Fair. I do not wear skins with vibrant lipcolor, as in RL I don't wear lipstick except on very special occassions. I tend to prefer skins that looks as if they don't have makeup on, except around the eyes. When I first tried the demo of this skin, I fell in love. Dark eyes, no ridiculous glitter or rouge, no lips that looked like large slices of raw tuna on the face....YAY. There is just a soft sheen on the lips, which I love.
I wear a lot of different hair, but my number one go-to place for fun and funky hair is Magika. This is the Lil Punk in blonde. I prefer the lightest two tones of the blond hair, but all five that you get are quite pretty.
Piercing set is from Virus Co, and includes the whole thing on one attachment point. Lip piercings, both eyebrows, fun nose piercing...love it!
Choker is a freebie from Cipher. I don't do the D/s play in SL, so this isn't a collar for me, but I suppose it could be used as one.

Blogs will kinda be put on hold the next two weeks (finals, booo!), but I shall try to pop a few more out in the coming weeks. Again, lemme know if there is anything in particular you want to see.

Let's Start Off Simple

Hiiiii there! I thought I'd start off with a really simple, everyday type look. Nothing pretentious...this is just something I often wear when gadabouting around on the grid (usually in search of more shopping places!).

To start with, the white undershirt is the Strap Top in white from Shit Luck, which is definitely one of my favorite shopping places. Amon (my partner) introduced me to them months and months ago, long before he knew of my almost obsessive penchant to shop. Well, he certainly found it out that day! Although simple, this white short shirt is adorable, with a fun neckline and a lace up back.

The pants are a recent addition to my inventory, comping from Filou. Although part of the Playfull outfit, I liked them so much I often pair them with different tops. As you can see, they are quite ripped up, both front and back, which I love. They've just got a sexy feeling, even while just being jeans.

The next two things have been staples of my inventory for awhile, and to this day are high in my absolute favorite things in SL. The jacket, which I got from +*Cipher*+, is simply gorgeous. Called the Rider's Jacket +++Busta+++, it comes in a bunch of colors, but I currently only have it in black. It does take off any arm bands/shoulder attachments that you may have, but it's SO worth it. I really am just in love with this jacket...the shading, the textures, the fun randomness that is part biker babe and part classic piece just appeals to me. GORGEOUS!

These boots are the final orgasmic piece of this outfit. As odd as it sounds, I had never been to Redgrave until less than two months ago. Everything I had personally seen come out of the store was not my style in the slightest. One day I was roaming around and saw a girl with the most gorgeous grungy biker boots I had ever seen, and when she told me she had goten them at Redgrave, I just about SQUEEEEE'd with joy. Immediately tping there, I found these Girl's Biker Boots in black, and made them mine. I probably wear these boots more often than any other shoe at the moment.

Heeeeey, everyone. *peaks around* Is there someone there? Maaaaybe?
Well, hi. I've been in SL for almost a year now, and in that time, have shopped my way around the grid, buying everything in my path according to my partner. I've been addicted to reading the fashion blogs, and while for the most part, my style is not anywhere near similar to most of the posters, every now and again they post something that I think "OMG, I could so grunge that up and make it amazing!"
It was actually my awesome partner's suggestion to start a blog of my own, since I was complaining that I had yet to find a reliable and often-updated fashion blog that fit my more eclectic style. I'm definitely not haute couture...I don't often wear dresses...when I do wear skirts, they are often ripped all to hell. What can I say? In world, I'm a post apocalyptic neko, who often likes wearing gothy, punky, urban or steampunk styles.
In RL, I'm a 20 year old psych student, who lives with her adorably geeky boyfriend. Fortunately for me, he's got some amazing computers, so I will be commandeering one of those to take pictures in world, since my laptops graphics aren't the best.
